Over the past week since we have done some repairs on Rocky Point Drive, we have continued to monitor the water usage. Yesterday we saw a large increase in water usage and had to have 12,000 gallons of water delivered. We are currently doing additional leak detection to continue to locate additional leaks.

We are asking that you ration your water until further notice to help with the water demand. It is extremely important if you notice any internal leaking faucets, drips or toilets running, to have this repaired at this time.

We are having an additional 18,000 gallons delivered again today and we will continue to monitor the water usage.

Please contact us with any concerns you may have and we will continue to keep you informed.

Abenaki Water was able to identify a water leak with a homeowner on Rocky Point Drive yesterday. The homeowner allowed us to shut their water off for the evening and the water was able to replenish itself within the system. Today we repaired the water line for the homeowner. Please continue to monitor your water usage for the weekend and notify us if you continue to experience low flow or no flow. If you notice something unusual with your water, again, please contact us.

The Abenaki Water System in Bow is still using more water than it can produce, meaning there is a leak in the distribution system. Yesterday, 01/03/18, we fixed a leak on Rocky Point Drive which helped but was not the only problem. Last night, employees from New England Service Company did leak detection efforts and isolation valving all night, during times of low customer usage. We were able to determine we are still leaking about 12 gallons per minute. Coupled with normal usage, this is too much water to keep up with. We are asking anyone who notices any abnormal water condition around their home to contact Abenaki Water Company as soon as possible. We have been trucking in water to fill the storage tanks in order to keep everyone with water. This is not only expensive but can only be done in weather condition above 20 degrees. We are asking everyone to ration water as much as possible to avoid further outages until we can find the leak causing this problem. Please know that we are doing everything possible to return the system back to normal.

Two addition leaks were identified today thanks to residents of the community identifying problems. We will be working tomorrow, 1/5/18, to correct these issues and will update this site with the status of the system at that time.

    Thank you
